Purpose of wasabi project
We are students of the Tokyo city University. I belong to Suzuki laboratory over there. We perform a project to "sell wasabi as a part of the study abroad". And, in Japan, I understand that I tend to decrease by the number of wasabi farmhouses, the amount of production year by year. In this situation even neither the one except Japan nor the Japanese may notice charm of this wasabi. If the name of the wasabi will roar in the world because the world is the world of the globalization, I will have you be more interested in wasabi and may expect the attention to Japanese farm products as a by-product. Meanwhile, I think that the role that we should do is to mediate between that I can tie people wanting a wasabi producer and wasabi. When the person with the interest can have communication by all means, I am happy.

- I did not anything about wasabi shamefully, until I started this project. Besides, I had not eaten fresh wasabi. But I found many fascinations of wasabi. So I want many people to know about wasabi through us.

- I didn’t like wasabi. However when I ate wasabi for the first time at a wasabi farmer in Shizuoka Prefecture where we stayed to experience farm work, I thought "This wasabi is completely differs from tubes of kneaded wasabi! wasabi taste good!!",and I was impressed very much, and from then I like wasabi. Although wasabi is famous as spicy food, I want as many people as possible to eat wasabi, and to know that wasabi is spicy and delicious, and to like wasabi Therefore we would like to be ‘the bridge between the world and wasabi.’

- I am a Japanese student loving wasabi. If there is not wasabi, I cannot eat the sushi. If there is not wasabi, I cannot eat sashimi. Furthermore, I get a stomach out of order when I eat sashimi without wasabi. I kill various germs and it is wasabi to be still delicious and is killing two birds with one stone. And I tell this taste and charm to an overseas person by all means and am full of thought to want you to use it. Therefore, in these few members, I make every possible efforts and have you know the charm of the wasabi.
